Adopt A Family CHRISTMAS PARTY

 
  Adopt-a-family Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 12th

We'll meet here at LW and ride the church bus to Walmart where we'll do our shopping for a needy family.  We'll bring everything back to church, have some lunch and wrap presents!  Bring $20 and some wrapping paper. 

 

 

Christmas Tree Lot!

We'll be working the Living Word Christmas Tree Lot with the Men's Club on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5 - 6th from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.  If you can't stay the whole time, we'll divide the day into 4 hour shifts.  To sign up, shoot me an email, amustoe@livingwordumc.org.

Festival of Sharing Trip: October 16 & 17

We're heading to Sedalia for the Festival of Sharing.  Churches from all over the state will come together to package rice and beans, sack potatoes, assemble backpacks for kids, and hygiene kits to be distributed throughout the state.  We stay overnight Friday at a local church in Sedlia, work Saturday morning, and head home Saturday afternoon.  Cost is $35: more details below!

Small groups start September 13

We are shifting our emphasis on Sunday night programming. We will have groups available for 6-8th graders from 4-5pm. Each group will have 2 co-leaders, and be organized by grade and gender.

For high schoolers, we will have co-ed groups available from 5-6pm. Come
check out what options will be available to you!

CRASH starts this Sunday

Starting Sunday August 23rd at 9:15 in the youth room we are revamping the Sunday School hour.  CRASH: A Collision with God is designed to engage 6-12 grade students in ways that speak to them meaningfully.  We hope to connect students to Jesus Christ and give them a solid biblical foundation through teaching from the same text as Pastor Michael on Sundays.  Students can expect some goofy stuff to kick things off, find out whats going on in the Youth Ministry, have a time of worship, hear a message from Adam Mustoe, and finally break out into small groups to talk about what they've just heard.
